Conference series launched

Today, the University of Zielona Góra hosted the first of a series of four scientific conferences entitled What did the pandemic do to us: "social research in statu nascendi - a special case of research during the COVID SARS-2 pandemic and remote" learning organised within the framework of the research task entitled: "Interdisciplinary and comparative diagnosis of secondary problems emerging in the attitudes and behaviour of contemporary youth as a consequence of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic". "Interdisciplinary and comparative diagnosis of secondary problems emerging in attitudes and behaviour of contemporary youth as a consequence of the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic, in individual and community perspective". The project, under the direction of Prof. Jacek Kurzępa, is already being implemented from 2 September 2020 at the Faculty of Economics and Management of UZ and is funded by the Treasury - Ministry of Education and Science. The hybrid conference was opened online by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Wojciech Murdzek.

The aim of the project is to illustrate the impact of the state of the epidemic and the related social quarantine on the attitudes and everyday life of young people. As part of the task, a team of representatives of the humanities and social sciences has been formed to carry out extensive social research, conduct a campaign to popularise the project and prepare research tools. The research task is to diagnose secondary problems in the post-pandemic period, which are revealed in the behaviours and attitudes of young Poles, people aged 13-25, i.e. youth and young adults.

During the project, in addition to scientific conferences related to the topic of the task, there will be book publications containing works on the described problem on the basis of conducted research. The project is planned to end on 31 December 2022.

The effects of the conducted research will be presented at subsequent scientific conferences:

• 7 December 2021. - What the pandemic has done to us: children's and adolescents' behaviour and attitudes as a consequence of distance learning
• 17 March 2022. - What the pandemic has done to us: the professional situation of teachers and school institutions during the pandemic
• 23 June 2022. - What the pandemic has done to us: in the experience of Families with special reference to the consequences of remote teaching
