Privacy policy
Privacy policy of the project "What the pandemic has done to us" in force from 08.10.2021
1. The privacy policy is the implementation of the information policy towards Users of the websites of the Internet Portal at the following domains: https://pandemia.edu.pl and https://pandemicresearch.eu ("Portal") in all aspects of personal data processing and protection.
2. The operator of the Portal is the University of Zielona Góra, address: 9 Licealna Street,, 65-417 Zielona Góra.
3. The administrator of personal data of the Portal Users is the Portal operator - University of Zielona Góra, who appointed a data protection officer: MSc. Jerzy Rybicki, e-mail address: iod@adm.uz.zgora.pl
4. The portal performs the functions of obtaining information about Users and their behavior in the following way:
a) Through information entered voluntarily in forms;
b) By saving cookies in end devices (so-called "cookies");
c) By collecting web server logs by the hosting operator,
5. The Portal collects information provided voluntarily by the User.
6. The portal can also save information about connection parameters (time stamp, IP address).
7. The User's personal data provided by him in the form are made available to third parties only with the User's consent.
8. The User's personal data provided in a given form are processed for the purpose resulting from the function of a specific form, e.g. to process the contact inquiry.
9. The University of Zielona Góra processes data provided by the Portal Users:
a) for the purpose and to the extent necessary for the proper functioning of the Portal.
10. The following categories of data recipients are envisaged: entities cooperating with the University of Zielona Góra for the proper operation of the Portal. The data provided in the forms may be transferred to entities that technically provide certain services - in particular, this applies to the provision of information about the owner of a registered domain to entities that are internet domain operators (primarily the Research and Academic Computer Network - NASK), payment service providers that support payments or other entities with whom the University of Zielona Góra cooperates in this field.
11. The University of Zielona Góra may process the following personal data of the Portal Users necessary to establish, shape the content, change or terminate the legal relationship regarding contracts concluded on the Portal and services provided electronically between them, if they are necessary for the indicated purpose:
a) User's surname and first names;
b) registered address for permanent residence;
c) mailing address, if different from the address referred to in point b;
d) data used to verify the User's electronic signature;
e) User's e-mail addresses;
f) User's telephone numbers;
12. The University of Zielona Góra may process the following data characterizing the way Users use services provided electronically (operational data):
a) User identification marks assigned on the basis of the data referred to in point 11;
b) markings identifying the end of the telecommunications network or the IT system used by the User;
c) information on the start, end and scope of each use of services provided electronically;
d) information about the User's use of services provided electronically.
13. The University of Zielona Góra stores the personal data of the Portal Users only for the period necessary to perform contracts and provide services and comply with the requirements of the applicable regulations. After this period, Users' personal data are removed from the systems.
14. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, it may be necessary to take appropriate actions of the Portal before concluding the contract, as well as to provide other services by electronic means, referred to in the Regulations. Providing other personal data (i.e. data that is not necessary to provide the service by electronic means) is not obligatory and is at the discretion of the User to whom the data relates, and their processing by the University of Zielona Góra depends on obtaining the User's consent.
15. The User has the right to access the content of the transferred data, correct and supplement them, and may at any time request the cessation of their processing and their removal, by writing or by e-mail to the data administrator.
16. The processing of Users' personal data by the University of Zielona Góra will take place in accordance with applicable law, in particular in accordance with the Act of August 29, 1997 on the protection of personal data (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2014, item 1182 as amended) and the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2013, item 1422 as amended).
17. The pages of the Portal are provided with appropriate security measures that meet the requirements of Polish law, aimed at protecting data left under the control of the University of Zielona Góra against their disclosure to unauthorized persons, removal by an unauthorized person, processing in violation of the Act, as well as alteration, loss, damage or destruction. The University of Zielona Góra undertakes to protect all personal data and information disclosed by Users of the Portal in accordance with the standards of security protection and confidentiality. The access rights to the personal data of the Portal Users have been restricted in a restrictive way, so that this information does not fall into the hands of unauthorized persons.
18. All information contained on the Portal's websites is subject to copyright and may not be copied, distributed or used in any other way without the written consent of the University of Zielona Góra.
19. The University of Zielona Góra reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy. The changes will be published on an ongoing basis along with the information about their implementation.
