Page available

Moving around without using a mouse. The website can only be operated using the keyboard. The pages are based on the header structure, which allows you to quickly move around the page. The elements of the website and functionalities are built in accordance with the standards and are accessible using the keyboard. People who don't use the mouse can navigate the pages without any problems.

Alternative descriptions of graphics and photos

Alternative descriptions have been added to graphics and photographs presenting relevant information. Also, the buttons and form fields are properly labeled.

Comprehensibility and readability of the content

We try to make our content understandable, and the way it is presented improves the readability of the materials and helps in the reception of information. We divide long texts into paragraphs, we use highlighting. Quotes and important information are highlighted accordingly.

Architectural accessibility

Administration building "Rektorat", 9 Licealna Street, Zielona Góra (A-18)
The main entrance is from Licealna Street. Access to the main door is via stairs, which have handrails on both sides. An alternative route for the stairs is a ramp, which has the appropriate width and is equipped with handrails on both sides at two levels. A manoeuvring space in front of the door has been retained. The entrance door is hinged, it is possible to open both wings. The door has a handle that is comfortable to use, but requires a lot of force to open. There are two additional entrances to the building at the rear, from the car park. One to level "-1" from the east side, has been led through with stairs and a ramp. The stairs have handrails on both sides. All corridors have retained manoeuvring space when changing direction. There are no changes of level in the form of thresholds and steps within one storey, with the exception of stairs and ramps in the basement. A staircase with one handrail is located in the main entrance. One main staircase connecting all storeys is located in the building, with the number of steps in a flight not exceeding seventeen and with the appropriate width of runs. The staircase is equipped with handrails on both sides, except for the staircase connecting the ground floor with the "-1" storey. A lift connecting all floors may be used for vertical communication in the building. The lift doors are automatically opened and closed and have the required width. A toilet accessible to persons with disabilities is located on each floor, except for the third floor. In front of the building there is parking for cars. There are two designated parking spaces for people with disabilities behind a barrier, one in front of the building and one at the rear. There is no Braille signage in the building and no contrasting or enlarged print signage for the blind and partially sighted. You can enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog and a guide dog. The University provides the possibility to use a sign language interpreter on site upon request by an authorised person. The service is free of charge.
